About the Role

Aurecon Australasia Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to innovative engineering solutions. As a pivotal member of our team, you will engage in significant projects that prioritize sustainability and efficiency.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrate enthusiasm for delivering impactful, energy-efficient, and sustainable engineering projects.
  2. Utilize your engineering management expertise to oversee and execute multidisciplinary projects within the building services sector.
  3. Conduct engineering design and reviews, ensuring compliance with industry standards while preparing comprehensive presentations and reports.
  4. Collaborate closely with clients to grasp their needs and provide expert technical guidance.
  5. Possess a robust understanding of local engineering standards and codes, contributing to the development of energy-efficient HVAC systems across various sectors.
  6. Prepare and assess technical drawings, schematics, and documentation.
  7. Engage effectively with clients and colleagues to achieve outstanding project results.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in sustainable design to foster innovative engineering solutions.
Qualifications and Skills

Essential qualifications include:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  2. A minimum of 5-7 years of practical experience in Mechanical Engineering design within the Building Services domain.
  3. Expertise in projects spanning Residential, Commercial, Health, Education, Sports and Entertainment, and Data Centre sectors.
  4. Familiarity with industry-standard software such as REVIT and IES.
  5. Proficiency in design, documentation, heat load calculations, and project coordination.
  6. Strong knowledge of Australian building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  7. A proven track record in delivering large-scale multidisciplinary projects.
  8. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while adhering to deadlines.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  10. A positive and proactive approach to work.
