About This Opportunity :

A teaching role awaits a dedicated Italian teacher to join a Catholic school in Melbourne, commencing in the near future. This full-time position involves teaching Italian plus one other subject to students in Years 7-10 within a growing school community that values collaboration and active learning.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop engaging curriculum plans in Italian, aligned with the Victorian Curriculum for Secondary students.
  • Deliver dynamic Italian language instruction, focusing on vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and language structures.
  • Integrate Italian culture into lessons through activities, literature, history, and projects to build cultural understanding and appreciation.
  • Design assessments to monitor student progress, providing clear feedback to support learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to embed Italian language perspectives into broader learning programs.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated with best practices in language education.

Requirements :

  • Current VIT registration
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Previous experience teaching Italian in a secondary school setting in AU / NZ
  • Experience teaching within the Catholic System is advantageous
  • Graduates are welcome to apply
  • Ability to provide references from within the last 5 years
