Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Culinary Apprentice to join our team at Panthers Penrith. As a valuable member of our kitchen team, you will assist our chefs with food preparation and service, provide support with larder and fryer duties, and progress to grill responsibilities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist chefs with food preparation and service;
  • Support larder and fryer duties and progress to grill responsibilities;
  • Assist in cleaning procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen;
  • Assist chefs in catering for various functions and banquets across the club;
  • Ensure safe storage of products and abide by relevant food health and safety legislation.

Requirements:

  • Enthusiasm to learn and develop skills;
  • Punctual and reliable;
  • Fantastic communication skills;
  • Genuine interest in food and the hospitality industry;
  • Highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic;
  • Ability to work in a team environment and handle pressure;
  • Experience working in a cooking role in a busy kitchen environment is an advantage.
