Senior Signalling Design Engineer Position

About the Role:

Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Senior Signalling Design Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee the delivery of signalling hardware design for projects, including documentation of design, on schedule and budget.
  • Ensure the setup of hardware (including operating system installation, automated installation development, software integration) and identifying and troubleshooting problems with both lab and production hardware.
  • Executing detailed hardware design, including documents and drawings as well as input to development, integration, testing, and maintenance.
  • Ensure the control of design documents in accordance with company processes.
  • Responsible for leading reviews to detect design errors and ensure correction.
  • Ensure the delivery of sub-systems or software configurations for medium & small signalling project schemes including the production and check of the configuration documents.
  • Guarantee requirements, designing, and testing according to allocated project requirements.
  • Guarantee input data, the configuration documents and .exe files are issued and controlled in accordance with company processes.
  • Defining and executing the integration lab tests before handover of the executable files of the configured sub-systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or Information Technology Qualifications/ University Degree.
  • More than 5 years of professional experience in Signalling HW design.
