Electrical Engineering Technician Role

The Electrical Engineering Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of control, instrumentation, and monitoring systems across a power station. The technician will work closely with the Control System team to ensure optimal operation of plant systems.


  • Demonstrate advanced trade skills and hands-on experience with power station equipment.
  • Provide priority breakdown maintenance and support to ensure seamless operation of control, instrumentation, and monitoring systems.
  • Diagnose faults and conduct routine maintenance to prevent system downtime.

This role requires strong technical problem-solving skills, effective communication, and safety awareness. A solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices is essential for success in this position.


The ideal candidate will have an Electrical Trade Certificate and at least 50% completion of an Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Previous experience working on complex control systems is desirable.
