About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Child Health and Development (CHAD) team at SA Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of comprehensive and integrated occupational therapy services to children with various conditions, including global developmental delay, autism spectrum disorder, and sensory disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services to children accessing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
  • Work collaboratively with other health professionals and service providers to deliver a range of occupational therapy services
  • Utilize a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment/therapy, and evaluation approaches as per the Country Health SA Children's Health and Development Model of Care
  • Hold a recognised qualification within the Occupational Therapy profession and be eligible for full membership of Occupational Therapy Australia
  • Have experience in supporting consumers through the patient journey, providing effective assessment and triage, timely referrals, accurate information, coordinated care, and prompt follow-up

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Hold a recognised qualification within the Occupational Therapy profession
  • Be eligible for full membership of Occupational Therapy Australia
  • Have experience in supporting consumers through the patient journey
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
