Centre Manager Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of qualified professionals in providing high-quality care for children and promoting their learning and development.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues to implement programs that cater to the developmental needs of children, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Implementation: Supervise the implementation of programs that cater to the developmental needs of children.
  • Staff Supervision: Recruit staff in accordance with relevant regulations and provide leadership and development opportunities to staff.
  • Administration: Manage the overall administration of the centre, handle day-to-day accounts and administrative matters, and ensure the centre meets or exceeds quality assurance requirements.
  • Liaison: Liaise with families, outside agencies, and management committees as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent qualification.
  • Current Blue Card.
  • First Aid, CPR & Asthma qualifications (or ability to obtain).
  • Good understanding of the Early Years Quality Framework.
  • Sound knowledge of current Regulations and Accreditation guidelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • A passion for working with children.
  • Commitment to maintaining current knowledge and attending additional training as necessary.
  • Own transportation.
  • Flexibility according to rosters.
