Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Provide technical advice and guidance to the Engineering Services team, ensuring the successful delivery of high-level engineering outcomes.
- Project Management: Oversee the development and implementation of strategies for municipal infrastructure and capital works projects, including infrastructure maintenance programs and contract procurement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with stakeholders to ensure successful project management, strategic direction, and strong relationships.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a dynamic team, shaping the future of the Shire of Capel and making a lasting impact on the community.
- Experience: Significant experience in local government, particularly in civil engineering or a related discipline, with a focus on infrastructure projects and capital works.
- Skills: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, previous supervisory or leadership experience, experience in civil construction, strong knowledge of local government regulations and Australian standards, competency in using engineering software, and advanced Worksite Traffic Management accreditation.
- Personal Qualities: Strong negotiation skills, resilience, and the ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, coupled with excellent communication skills and the ability to coach, mentor, and lead project teams.

About the Benefits- Salary: A competitive annual salary of $95,000 - $100,000, based on skills and experience.
- Benefits: Superannuation matching up to 14%, relocation assistance up to $7,500, 4 weeks of annual leave with leave loading and 2 weeks personal leave, monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO), flexible work arrangements, private vehicle use up to 250 km from the Shire, salary sacrifice options, and a benefits programme.
