Job Summary

The Nurse Unit Manager role is a pivotal position that oversees the management of operating theatres, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead theatre staff to deliver patient-centred care.
  • Oversee daily operations, including theatre bookings and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices.
  • Mentor and develop staff through education and professional support.
  • Build strong relationships with medical officers, patients, and stakeholders.
About You

This role requires an experienced leader with strong perioperative expertise and a passion for patient care. A current nursing registration and minimum 5 years' experience in an acute care environment are essential. Demonstrated perioperative nursing experience, leadership skills, and experience with rostering and resource management are also required.

Key Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualifications in perioperative nursing or management.
  • Previous experience in a senior leadership or management role.
