The Nurse Unit Manager role is a pivotal position that oversees the management of operating theatres, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead theatre staff to deliver patient-centred care.
- Oversee daily operations, including theatre bookings and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices.
- Mentor and develop staff through education and professional support.
- Build strong relationships with medical officers, patients, and stakeholders.
This role requires an experienced leader with strong perioperative expertise and a passion for patient care. A current nursing registration and minimum 5 years' experience in an acute care environment are essential. Demonstrated perioperative nursing experience, leadership skills, and experience with rostering and resource management are also required.
