Project Engineer Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to work with a skilled team, managing the design, estimation, tendering, procurement and project management of water treatment and chemical dosing projects for customers across New South Wales and nationally.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales teams and engineering teams on equipment solutions, ensuring effective communication with customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project delivery timelines and budgets, fostering strong relationships with suppliers and contractors to meet customer expectations.
  • Assist with on-site installation and commissioning of water treatment and chemical dosing equipment, providing expert knowledge and technical support.
  • Support the sales team in spare parts and maintenance activities for existing installations, guaranteeing optimal performance and minimizing downtime.

A valid driving license is required for regular travel to customer sites, involving overnight stays.

Key Qualifications & Skills Required
  • Tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline or relevant trade certification.
  • Significant experience in the water industry, with a proven track record in project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and AutoCAD, as well as experience in automated control systems and plant commissioning, are highly valued.
  • Strong commitment to safety, coupled with exceptional planning, administration, and organizational skills, ensures a seamless customer experience.
  • A customer-focused attitude and valid driving license complete the essential requirements for this key role.
