Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and bid phases of water infrastructure projects, focusing on concept design and ensuring alignment with client specifications and project goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the bid manager to prepare tender designs that meet client requirements and project objectives.
  • Oversee a team of designers and process engineers, providing leadership and technical direction to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure seamless transitions from tender to concept design, with minimal involvement in detailed design and delivery.
  • Manage small to mid-sized projects, working on multiple projects concurrently on a national level and leveraging experience in actual project delivery.
  • Work with both consulting and contracting teams, utilizing expertise in water infrastructure projects to drive project success.

Requirements:

  • 8-15 years of experience in design management within the water industry, with a proven track record of managing the design phase of projects from bid to concept.
  • Background in consulting or contracting, with hands-on experience in water infrastructure projects and a strong understanding of client needs.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring design teams, ensuring effective coordination between internal teams and clients.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and drive project success.
