About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary School Teacher - English Educator to join our team at Independentschools. As part of our Secondary School department, this full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a meaningful impact in the field of education.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons across the secondary school curriculum.
  • Student Assessment and Feedback: Assess and report on the progress of students, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Supportive Learning Environment: Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the needs of diverse student abilities and backgrounds.
  • Collaboration and Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and enhancement of teaching practices.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and pastoral care duties as required.
  • Adherence to School Policies: Adhere to school policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and child protection.
Requirements
  • Teaching Qualifications: Relevant teaching qualifications and certifications as required by the relevant teaching authority.
  • Teaching Experience: Demonstrated experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
  • Subject Knowledge: Strong subject knowledge and expertise relevant to the secondary school curriculum.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Commitment to Inclusive Education: Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Broader School Life: Ability to contribute to the broader life of the school through extracurricular activities or pastoral care responsibilities.
