Nuclear Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Safety Engineer to join our team at KBR. As a key member of our systems safety and nuclear engineering capability, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative engineering and technology solutions to our clients.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide expert advice and guidance on nuclear safety and assurance matters, working closely with our clients to refine their needs and support them in delivering and assuring solutions that are fit for purpose, deliver safety, and are environmentally compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in nuclear safety and assurance
- Develop and maintain safety cases for nuclear-related projects
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering/Science Degree (or equivalent depth of training)
- Minimum of 5 years nuclear-related experience
- Have (or be eligible for) UK or Australian security clearance
- Safety and assurance knowledge and experience
- Previous Defence maritime experience
- Systems engineering knowledge and experience
- Chartered Engineer Status
- Excellent client management/stakeholder engagement skills
