The role of Group Financial Controller is a key leadership position within the organization, responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of month-end close and reporting in line with established deadlines.
  • Cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization to drive financial performance.
  • Management of finance-related tasks within the statutory compliance calendar, including BAS, Payroll Tax, PAYG, FBT, Income Tax, workers comp, and insurances.
  • Collaboration with various stakeholders to drive continuous process and reporting improvement initiatives.
  • Preparation and submission of consolidated financial statements in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and local regulations.
  • Monthly Finance Board Pack with results, analysis, and commentary.
  • Quarterly divisional forecasting and annual financial planning to support business goals.
  • Leadership of FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Oversight of payroll processing and legislative compliance.
  • Lead finance projects, including system upgrades and business transformations.
  • Maintenance of robust internal controls and compliance policies.
  • Monitoring of financial covenants and obligations to stakeholders.
  • Coordination of annual audits and tax return preparation.
  • Leadership and development of the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Collaboration with executive leadership to align financial strategy with business objectives.
About You:
  • A seasoned finance professional with CPA/CA qualification and extensive experience in financial leadership.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with non-financial stakeholders.
  • A passion for being structured and organized in your approach.
