About the Role

The Operational Director will play a pivotal role in leading the operational oversight and performance delivery functions of the organisation. This key position ensures the efficient, ethical, and effective functioning of the organisation through governance, financial stewardship, people management, risk oversight, and systems integration.

This role aligns strategic objectives with operational capacity, while cultivating a collaborative, inclusive and psychologically safe workplace culture.

Responsibilities
  • You'll be responsible for planning, budgeting, procurement, risk management, records management, HR coordination and reporting across the organisation.
  • Stand up the new operations function from the ground up, establishing rhythms, templates, dashboards, approvals and audit-ready records.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to develop and implement operational strategies that drive business outcomes.
  • Lift governance, manage risk and ensure value for money while keeping delivery moving.
  • Partner with stakeholders to align timelines, budgets and outcomes.
  • Simplify and standardise ways of working, using data to drive decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Cultivate a culture of operational excellence, coaching others to lift operational capability and support professional development.

Salary: $121,107 to $125,679 – ASO8 – Full Time / Term Contract up to One Year
