Urban Planning Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced urban planning specialist to join our team. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice on land development, infrastructure, and strategic planning projects across New South Wales.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, ensuring timely delivery of outputs that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of urban planning data, identifying trends and insights to inform decision-making.
  • Prepare high-quality planning documentation, including reports, strategies, and environmental impact assessments.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Lead by example, mentoring junior staff and contributing to a positive, inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning, Architecture, or Urban Design, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven expertise in urban planning research, data analysis, and report writing.
  • Substantial experience in statutory or strategic planning, preferably in NSW.
  • Strong self-motivation, with a passion for solving complex problems and delivering innovative solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
