Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality code based on client requirements, adhering to best practices such as functional and object-oriented programming, and test-driven development.
  • Provide thought leadership in programming and software development, driving technical excellence and innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement well-formed RESTful APIs, leveraging expertise in Java technologies, web technologies, and microservice development.
  • Deploy Java multi-channel applications across multiple platforms, ensuring tasks are undertaken at the appropriate level of quality to achieve requirements.
  • Support the business in achieving the best possible technical outcome, working closely with stakeholders to understand and address technical challenges.
Requirements
  • Expertise in Java technologies, including Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JPA, JMS, and exposure to other Java libraries and frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, including JavaScript (ES2016+), Node JS, and Browser APIs.
  • Awareness of the 12 factor principles of microservice development and experience with designing well-formed RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Java build automation technologies, such as Gradle and Maven, and version control systems like Git.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling, as well as knowledge of NoSQL databases and their applications.
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms, such as Bamboo and Jenkins, and cloud infrastructure, including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively report and manage or escalate risk(s), issue(s), and defects.
