Electrical Estimation Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate electrical estimates for tenders and engineering studies, working across a national team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing requests for proposals and tenders, contributing to the development of efficient and cost-effective pricing. They will also develop and implement first principle estimates, interpreting and evaluating drawings to identify direct and indirect estimates.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to collate material take-offs and job costs into presentable spreadsheets or databases. The successful candidate will also need to analyse benchmarks and historical costs, as well as assist Technical Procurement with Bill of Quantity preparation for procurement packages.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement accurate electrical estimates for tenders and engineering studies.
  • Review requests for proposals and tenders, contributing to the development of efficient and cost-effective pricing.
  • Collate material take-offs and job costs into presentable spreadsheets or databases.
  • Analyse benchmarks and historical costs.
  • Assist Technical Procurement with BoQ preparation for procurement packages.
  • Requirements:
  • Engineering Degree qualified with significant on-the-job experience.
  • Proficiency with CCS Candy estimating software.
  • Advanced Microsoft skills.
  • Ability to develop top-down estimates based on norms and Area Breakdown Structure.
