About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Arcare Aged Care. As a Culinary Specialist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the dining experience for our residents by preparing delicious and nutritious meals that cater to their individual needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation: Prepare meals according to the menus designed by the Head Chef, ensuring that they are nutritious, appealing, and meet the specific dietary needs of individual residents.
• Special Diets: Accommodate special dietary requirements, such as texture-modified diets, to cater to the unique health conditions and preferences of our residents.
• Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Quality Control: Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring that they meet high standards in taste, appearance, and portion sizes.
• Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Work as part of a team in the kitchen, collaborating with other kitchen staff, to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.

Requirements

• Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
• Adaptable, passionate, and willingness to learn
• Collaborative and skilled at teamwork
• Friendly and effective communication abilities
