About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Works Assistant (Floating - Open Spaces) to join our team at the City of Coffs Harbour.

As a Works Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining parks, gardens, amenities, and playgrounds within the Coffs Coast community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining parklands, gardens, and amenities to a high standard
  • Implementing herbicide programs for parkland maintenance
  • Performing asset maintenance and repairs within gardens, reserves, and parklands
  • Cleaning, mowing, and general routine maintenance activities for facilities

You will work closely with the Open Spaces Coordinator to deliver various projects and ensure the highest level of customer service and safety.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III in Horticulture or Civil Construction or equivalent
  • Current Medium Rigid (MR) Drivers Licence
  • National Construction Induction Certification (Whitecard)
  • Demonstrated experience in gardening, labouring, or horticultural operations
  • Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of green spaces
