About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to lead our Above Water Systems (AWS) Business Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to our Electrical Engineering domain activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of Electrical Engineers and Technicians/Draftspersons, ensuring work aligns with business priorities and professional development pathways.
  • Provide discipline leadership within AWS, offering leadership and guidance to bids, projects, in-service capabilities, and engineering plans.
  • Hold Level 2 Engineering Authority in the field of Electrical Engineering, undertake engineering reviews and approvals.
  • Coordinate the many requirements on time across a number of concurrent ongoing projects and bid work.
  • Engage with various internal and external stakeholders and estimate project costs, schedules, and resources during competitive Tender/Bid.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering &/or Masters qualification. Chartered Professional Engineer (EA).
  • Experience in Electrical Engineering with expertise in Naval or Maritime Platforms.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with stakeholder management experience.
  • Demonstrated capacity for continuous improvement and strategic vision.
  • Ability to empower and unite teams around clear objectives, acting as a coach and servant leader.
