About the Role


This exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled WHS and Wellbeing Policy Officer to join our client's business unit on an initial 6-month contract based in Stirling.


The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing safety and wellbeing policies and procedures aligned with legislation, working closely with SME teams to achieve this goal.


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop safety and wellbeing frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with legislation;
  • Review existing policies with SMEs to ensure consistency across safety and wellbeing standards;
  • Prepare briefs and reports as needed;
  • Build cooperative relationships with staff at all levels to advance projects and policies;
  • Work both independently and within a small team to support the Project Management Office.

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you must have:



  • Experience developing and implementing WHS and wellbeing policies or programs in the government context;
  • Skilled in drafting policies, interpreting, and applying legislation;
  • Strong communication skills, able to liaise with stakeholders and produce high-quality briefs and reports;
  • Project management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines;
  • Good judgement in policy review, able to work independently under pressure;
  • Knowledge of WHS legislation interpretation and policy writing in the public sector.

Location and Remuneration


This position is based in Stirling and offers a competitive salary range of approximately £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
