We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our dynamic team at Cappa Construction & Maintenance. As a prominent civil construction and infrastructure remediation company, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding project results.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $70,000 - $95,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week. You will work on a variety of projects, including residential renovations, commercial fit-outs, and custom builds, ensuring every detail is executed to perfection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, plans, and specifications to construct, repair, or install structures and fixtures.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials (e.g., wood, plywood, MDF, and other materials) to meet project requirements.
  • Construct frameworks, partitions, and other structural elements for residential and commercial projects.
  • Install doors, windows, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry elements.
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on existing structures as part of ongoing projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, tradespeople, and other team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Troubleshoot and provide solutions for construction challenges.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of skilled and proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably within the remediation and commercial construction sectors.
  • Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings.
  • High level of attention to detail and craftsmanship in all tasks.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards and best practices.
  • Good physical fitness and stamina for manual labour and working at heights.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.
