Strategic Midwifery Initiatives Coordinator

The Office of the Chief Nurse and Midwifery Officer seeks an experienced professional to manage and coordinate activities supporting strategic midwifery initiatives in Tasmania.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects aligned with the Department's objectives, leveraging a deep understanding of professional midwifery practice.
  • Establish consultative relationships with stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes.
  • Represent Tasmania's interests in local, national, and international professional networks.
  • Provide support for committees associated with the Office's functions.

Requirements:

  • Advanced project management skills to meet agreed time, cost, and quality targets.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the healthcare system and knowledge of national and international trends in midwifery, workforce, and service delivery.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, strategic, research, and creative skills applied within complex environments.
