Integration and Test Specialist

SpaceX is working towards establishing a human presence on Mars. To achieve this goal, we are actively developing the necessary technologies.

This position will be responsible for all initial system testing of the Starship Vehicle. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing test procedures and tools to verify vehicle health before it leaves the pad.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the vehicle's avionics/propulsion architecture
  • Establish test criteria and pass/fail requirements for integrated vehicle checkouts
  • Develop procedures and processes for validating a rapidly evolving spacecraft
  • Identify and drive improvements to testing efficiency and safety of vehicle testing
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues real-time
  • Interface with design, build, and systems engineering teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of hands-on engineering experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Proven experience in streamlining test operations
  • Systems engineering experience
  • Experience creating, reading, and interpreting electrical and fluid schematics
  • Experience with integration and testing of propulsion and/or electrical systems
  • Experience in planning and execution of complex test operations
  • Experience developing test software, automation
  • Experience in test equipment design and operation

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to launch sites up to 15%
  • Ability to pass Air Force background checks
  • Flexibility to work all shifts, extended hours and weekends as needed

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee or asylee under U.S. laws, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
