About the Role
This position requires a strategic and hands-on finance leader to drive financial sustainability and organisational growth.
The Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day finance operations while managing budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, audit processes, payroll costing, funding acquittals, and cashflow management.
The role involves working closely with the Executive Manager Finance and Corporate Services and leading a small, high-performing finance team.
The Finance Manager will drive continuous improvement, digital transformation, and financial capability building across the organisation.
In this role you will:
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
- Oversee audit, funding acquittals, and statutory compliance
- Provide financial leadership for procurement and contract oversight
- Enhance internal controls, cashflow, and payroll cost analysis
- Support insurance renewals, risk mitigation, and investment strategies
- Mentor finance staff and build internal financial literacy organisation-wide
- Lead digital automation and process improvement projects in the finance function
About You
You are a values-driven and commercially astute finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. You bring strong business acumen, analytical expertise, and a collaborative leadership style.
To be successful, you will have:
- Minimum 7 years' accounting experience with team leadership
- Strong budgeting, financial reporting, and scenario modelling capabilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
- Experience using CRM, payroll, and reporting tools
- High-level communication, organisation, and time management skills
- A proactive approach to solving complex issues and leading change
You will also need:
- Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check
- Current or willingness to complete Child Safe Environments training
