
Emotional Support Specialist

The role of the Student Wellbeing Officer is to provide individual support to students facing challenges around social/emotional wellbeing. This may involve practical support, short-term intervention, and referrals to external support systems.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individual support to students in need
- Work collaboratively with the Student Wellbeing team and other school staff
- Develop and maintain relationships with external providers and support services
- Write reports and case notes as required
- Diploma level qualification in Counselling or related field
- At least 2 years experience working with children and young people
- Strong knowledge of current evidence-based practices, policies, and legislation
- Experience working with students from Year 7-12
- Excellent communication skills
