Student Wellbeing Officer

The role of the Student Wellbeing Officer is to provide individual support to students facing challenges around social/emotional wellbeing. This may involve practical support, short-term intervention, and referrals to external support systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual support to students in need
  • Work collaboratively with the Student Wellbeing team and other school staff
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external providers and support services
  • Write reports and case notes as required
Requirements:
  • Diploma level qualification in Counselling or related field
  • At least 2 years experience working with children and young people
  • Strong knowledge of current evidence-based practices, policies, and legislation
  • Experience working with students from Year 7-12
  • Excellent communication skills
