What We Do
Qube Bulk provides comprehensive mine-to-market and mine resupply solutions, offering mine, road, rail, storage, port, and ship services. We handle over 85 million tonnes per annum of various ores, concentrates, mineral sands, salt, coal, and dangerous goods. We are a leader in safety initiatives and innovation through advanced in-vehicle management systems (IVMS), fleet monitoring, supply chain management technology, and equipment performance-based standards engineering.
The Role
We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join our team in Whyalla. The primary focus of this role will be to maintain and repair our modern fleet of Prime movers, earthmoving equipment, and mechanical equipment, ensuring they are operational and serviced in accordance with requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance, and inspections on trucks and trailers
- Maintain accurate fleet records of servicing, maintenance, and repairs
- Carry out repairs and parts replacements as directed
- Respond to fleet roadside breakdowns
- Communicate effectively with drivers and plant operators
- Order parts using established suppliers and order numbers
- Maintain company vehicles and mechanical aids
- Identify and record deficiencies in products and services
Requirements
- Auto Electrician Trade Certification
- Experience working with Heavy Duty Diesel Equipment
- Experience in a heavy industry transport or mining environment (highly regarded)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with various people
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively resolve tasks
- Ability to work well within a team environment
