Youth Detention Training Specialist

The Training Coordinator role involves delivering high-quality training and assessment to youth detention staff, aligning with the department's learning and development agenda.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and manage complex curricula for youth detention training and learning initiatives to achieve workforce objectives.
- Identify and address staff training needs, design plans, and schedules to meet individual and business goals.
- Collaborate with a dynamic team to develop, implement, and monitor projects that contribute to quality training outcomes.
- Track and report on training performance, manage training records, and analyze data to inform future decisions.
- Coordinate logistics for training activities, including rostering facilitators, venues, equipment, and resources.
- Support quality training delivery, supervise, mentor, and coach staff as required to ensure excellence in practice.
- Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, including youth detention centres and departmental staff.
- Deliver high-quality training, assessment, and professional development activities to youth detention staff as required.
- Provide expert advice and input into curriculum reviews and updates.
- Support incident review processes and provide guidance to management.
