Job Overview

This role involves delivering comprehensive dental services to patients in a defence health setting.

As a Dentist, you will be responsible for providing emergency treatments, general examinations and preventative treatments, restorations, minor oral surgical procedures, x-rays, extractions, root canal treatments and design/management of prosthodontics.

You will collaborate with medical officers, nursing officers and specialist dental providers to provide high-quality dental care.

The successful candidate will promote and maintain good oral health of personnel in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures.

This is a permanent part-time role working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

  • Australian Citizenship or eligibility for Commonwealth Security Clearance purposes
  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum 2 years full-time postgraduate clinical chair-side experience within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent)
  • Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA
