Security Architect Job Description

This role involves designing and developing secure-by-design patterns across various technologies, with a strong emphasis on cloud security architectures.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver pragmatic, security-focused solutions to multiple client projects.
  • Design, develop, and guide implementation of secure cloud security architectures, particularly in AWS and Azure environments.
  • Provide expert guidance on cloud and SaaS transformation projects, ensuring effective integration of security considerations.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders to ensure early and effective addressing of security concerns.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in cybersecurity architecture, ideally within the financial services industry.
  • Strong expertise in both AWS and Azure cloud security architectures.
  • Proficiency with threat analysis frameworks.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory standards such as APRA CPS 234 and security frameworks like NIST CSF and the Essential 8.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; relevant certifications are highly regarded.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: able to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in parallel.
