Warehouse Assistant/Inwards Goods Job Overview

The role of Warehouse Assistant/Inwards Goods involves supporting plumbers and tradespeople by ensuring easy access to required products, as well as performing daily warehouse tasks to keep the branch running smoothly.

Responsibilities
  • Load and unload supplier and branch vehicles/trucks safely
  • Operate a forklift while emphasizing traffic management
  • Process orders and manage stock using computer systems (including credit claims and replenishment)
  • Accurately receipt goods for multi-site operations
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the warehouse and yard
  • Uphold company values, policies and procedures; contribute as a supportive team member
  • Prepare the yard for multiple business branches
Requirements
  • Previous experience in warehousing and forklift operation
  • A strong commitment to safety culture
  • Computer skills with a willingness to learn new systems
  • Desire to develop your career locally, within our network or head office
  • A valid forklift licence is required
  • Ability to lead within our values and safety standards
