Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing injury prevention strategies, mentoring managers and supervisors, analyzing injury data, staying up-to-date with legislation changes, creating wellbeing initiatives, coordinating external services, and investigating workplace incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop injury prevention strategies to minimize workplace incidents.
  • Mentor managers and supervisors in injury reporting and management techniques.
  • Analyze injury data to inform strategic decisions and drive WHS improvements.
  • Stay current with changes in workers' compensation and WHS laws.
  • Create wellbeing initiatives to promote employee health and wellbeing.
  • Manage pre-employment medicals, workplace assessments, and other external services.
  • Investigate workplace incidents to determine causes and corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Accreditation as an Advanced RTW Coordinator.
  • Degree in Health and Rehabilitation, WHS, or related field.
  • Proven track record in injury management, return-to-work coordination, and workers' compensation.
  • In-depth understanding of WHS and workers' compensation legislation in QLD and NSW.
  • Strong investigative and mentoring abilities.
