Advanced Clinical Care Specialist

This newly created role reports to the Senior Medical Officer and leads advanced clinical care services within the primary healthcare clinic. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will deliver culturally safe and responsive primary health care aligned with the BRAMS Model of Care.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting independent patient assessments, diagnoses, and clinical decision-making
- Prescribing medications under the Kimberley Standard Drug List and authorised SASAs
- Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic investigations
- Managing recalls, reminders, and follow-up care processes
- Collaborating across departments and multidisciplinary teams
- Leading and contributing to quality improvement activities and clinical audits
To qualify, you must hold current AHPRA registration with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner, along with demonstrated experience in a primary healthcare setting. Additionally, the following qualifications and attributes will be highly regarded:
- Experience working in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (desirable)
- Clinical expertise in triage, treatment, and ongoing care management
- Ability to communicate effectively across multidisciplinary and cross-cultural teams
- Cultural humility and a willingness to learn in an Aboriginal health context
- Collaborative approach and ability to adapt to a diverse service environment
