Job Summary

Aussie Locums is seeking a skilled Sonographer to provide short-term support to a private practice in Tasmania. As a Locum Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of scans, including MSK, general, small parts, breast, OB, and GP-referred vascular scans.

About the Role

  • Perform scanning duties for a minimum of two days, with the option to extend to a 1-2 week locum period.
  • Utilize a brand-new Canon ultrasound machine.
  • Manage an evenly spaced caseload, with support from the reception team for fit-ins.
  • Provide high-quality imaging inline with protocols, procedures, and policies.
  • Use Sono Review for reporting.

Requirements

  • Minimum Experience: At least 3 years as a Sonographer in a private practice setting.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in performing a wide range of scans, including MSK, general, small parts, breast, OB, and GP-referred vascular scans.
  • Equipment Familiarity: Experience with or ability to quickly adapt to using Canon ultrasound machines.
  • Caseload Management: Ability to handle an evenly spaced caseload with potential fit-ins, supported by a well-managed reception team.
  • Reporting Skills: Proficiency in reporting, with knowledge or adaptability to Sono Review.
  • Credentialling: ASAR – full registration | Correct working rights for Australia | Adequate references | Proof of vaccinations | Completion of mandatory training.
