About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to take on a leadership position within the organization. You will work closely with our team to develop and maintain maintenance schedules, provide technical support, and optimize asset utilization. Your strong understanding of mining industry standards, trends, and emerging technologies will enable you to make strategic decisions that drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage opportunities with joint ventures and business partners to enhance growth in the mining industry.
- Create opportunities in relevant areas to ensure revenue and profit shares are maximized.
- Develop and maintain maintenance schedules for all equipment, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
- Provide technical support and recommendations for upgrades, repairs, or replacements to ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of mining industry standards, trends, and emerging technologies related to equipment and maintenance practices.
- Prepare and present reports on maintenance costs, equipment performance, and asset lifecycle to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop strategies for optimizing asset utilization, reducing operational costs, and improving equipment life cycle management.
- Ensure adherence to corporate and statutory Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental (OSH&E) regulations, with a focus on industry-specific standards related to mining and equipment maintenance.
- 5+ years of experience in a Project Manager role or equivalent within the mining and maintenance industry, with strong expertise in mobile plant equipment.
- Mining capability to review and execute opportunities.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- A Trade or Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering is highly desirable but not essential.
- Driver's licence and willingness to travel to remote sites as required.
- Current National Police Check (or the ability to obtain one).
- Proven experience in maintenance planning, execution, and asset management within the mining sector.
- Strong understanding of relevant safety standards, industry regulations, and environmental policies within the mining and maintenance industries.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, provide accurate reporting, and support strategic decision-making.
- Experience in working in remote communities with a strong understanding of working with a cross-cultural workforce.
- High level of attention to detail in equipment monitoring, maintenance schedules, and reporting.
