AusNet Services Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Asset Inspection and Management Professional to join their team in Southbank or local AusNet depots.

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

This key position is responsible for overseeing the inspection and assessment of AusNet's distribution electrical infrastructure assets. The successful candidate will ensure that all electrical assets are inspected and assessed in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner, in line with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement inspection protocols for electrical assets, including Electricity Distribution lines, substations, transformers, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Ensure routine inspections and assessment activities are performed on time and in accordance with standards and policies.
  • Lead the root cause analysis of operational failures and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to plan for asset upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience in asset management, operations, or maintenance in the electricity or utility industry.
  • Strong understanding of electricity transmission and distribution systems, as well as regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Proven experience in leading inspection and maintenance programs for large-scale electrical assets.
