We are seeking a highly skilled Test and Evaluation Engineer to join our DCE Waterfront Support team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing engineering support, guidance, and coordination to resolve technical issues identified during production of the DCE Program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide timely triage, response, and resolution of DCE External Maintenance Period (ExtMP) PIRs and other production-related issue reports.
- Develop integration-related documentation in accordance with appropriate standards.
- Develop and/or prepare accurate technical documentation, including test procedures and reports.
- Assist in the development of tools and rigs necessary for integration of the deliverable system.
- Identify opportunities for improvement of integration practices.
- Support PIR reporting and the performance framework throughout DCE ExtMP production.
- Ensure problem reports are raised for all system problems identified during system integration and isolate such problems to specific system components.
- Set up, test, integrate, and commission equipment and systems.
- Provide oversight and technical subject matter expert knowledge for Test & Commissioning.
- Provide input to planning and maintenance of schedules.
- Defect analysis, resolution, and provision of detailed technical reports.
- Contribute to the analysis of complex technical problems to create solutions where precedent may not exist.
- Degree-level qualifications in an engineering discipline and engineering experience enabling eligibility for admission to the Institution of Engineers, Australia, as a Chartered Professional.
- Significant experience within a production engineering capacity.
- Demonstrated professional integrity, advanced level of technical knowledge, objectivity, acceptance of responsibility, maturity of judgment.
- Demonstrated practical and extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes in a commercial and/or defence environment.
- Ability to make independent judgments and decisions relating to the role with the ability to form and facilitate problem-solving teams to achieve engineering systems and processes outcomes.
- Ability to communicate and build relationships with people at all levels (verbal and written skills).
- Strong understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) fundamentals.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain relevant Defence Clearances.
