About the Role

The Transport Coordinator sits within the Operations department and reports to the Transport Team Lead. This position will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the company's Domestic and Express Courier transportation requirements, including air freight, and land transportation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate collections and deliveries for any cleared shipments and warehouse movements
  • Ensure cost-effective buying for domestic collections and deliveries
  • Coordinate quotes and tender requests for any domestic transportation and project works
  • Promptly communicate transport movements to relevant parties in writing
  • Coordinate and Monitor of all domestic Hot Shot movements
  • Maintain Transport Log, ensuring all information is updated accurately in a timely manner, including any third-party job costs
  • Correspond with warehouse deliveries and Insight warehouse receipts
  • Deliver a high level of customer service
  • Accurately accrue costs to job files
  • Invoice job files as per agreed contracted rates

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of industry, customs, and freight forwarding terminology
  • Transport Coordinator experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Confident in conflict resolution
  • Advanced negotiation and relationship skills
  • High-level customer service skills
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
  • High attention to detail and strong planning and organisation skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy work environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We also provide opportunities for career growth and professional development.
