Supply Chain Logistics Director

In this exciting opportunity, you will oversee supply operations at our Newcastle and North Coast distribution centres and associated provisioning centres. As a key member of our team, you will provide subject matter expertise through stewardship, process and policy control for national warehouses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of formal policy, business rules and procedures in relation to inventory management.
- Direct the effective and efficient operation of ARTC warehouses.
- Provide leadership, direction, support and coaching to achieve required service levels.
- Monitor all delivery, receiving and dispatching of goods in line with business guidelines against agreed service levels.
- Oversee the logistics function is carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Responsible for the integrity of the inventory system ensuring a high degree of stock accuracy and effective stock management procedures.
- Manage biannual stock takes and cycle counts at all storage locations.
- Manage movements between locations coordinating with Supply Operations Coordinators to flag shortfalls in stock where necessary and maximise stock utilisation.
- Continuously looks to improve and implement stock management processes and procedures.
- Ensure strong stakeholder engagement between suppliers, Supply Operations Coordinators and Asset Management teams to ensure smooth communications across teams in relation to stock fulfilment.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Logistics or Supply Management and/or extensive relevant industry experience.
- Solid experience in a warehouse or stock management role in a multi-site environment.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience of warehousing practices and leading a small team across a multi-site environment.
- Proficiency with materials management systems and technology.
- An understanding of Work Health and Safety obligations and safety in construction.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team and drive effective outcomes in a fast changing environment.
- Clear and concise oral and written communications skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the company, supplier representatives and management.
- The ability to demonstrate a strong commitment to outstanding customer service and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven competency to operate warehouse vehicles and equipment.
- Current Class C driver's licence.

The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
