Job Summary:

Bechtel Corporation seeks a mechanical engineer to lead design, development, and evaluation of mechanical components and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience with Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs) and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard mechanical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria for small projects or assignments.
  • Design, develop, modify, and evaluate mechanical components and processes utilizing EDPs, design standards, and guides, and BSAPs.
  • Prepare or assist in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.
  • Coordinate mechanical engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction, and other functional groups.
  • Provide guidance to other mechanical engineering personnel for specific tasks or projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, materials, and computers in the discipline, and of engineering work planning and control methods.
  • Computer skills including competence in MS Office suite and other common software.
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for individual and team tasks.
  • Analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication.
