Job Description

The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled organisation that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal Community.

  • Manage daily operations of the locally/regional based ACSASS team, including direct supervision and support of staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain strong partnership arrangements with Child Protection, providing support to Care Services management team and staff as required.
  2. Supervise and train staff, ensuring effective team performance and high standards are maintained.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in working with Aboriginal families and children.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of issues related to Aboriginal child and family welfare and Child Protection Systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, including consultation and liaising sensitively and effectively with a wide range of organisations.
