About the Job

We are looking for junior Process Engineers keen to work in a consultancy environment. You will join our high-performing team working across various assignments, from traditional upstream oil and gas developments to emerging energy transition technologies.

Our work encompasses feasibility assessments and concept selection for new developments through to technical support of mature assets. We develop an understanding of our clients' problems before identifying possible solutions and supporting their decision-making process.

Key areas of activity within the process team include:

  • Process design for oil and gas and energy transition projects
  • Process system modelling and optimisations
  • Operations support troubleshooting
  • Facility capacity rating, debottlenecking, and benchmarking
  • Life extension and asset rationalisation
  • Thermodynamic fluid properties & phase behaviour
  • Designing utilities and support systems
  • Modelling and analysis of steady-state process plant
  • Assessing key uncertainties impacting production system development
  • Client team support

The successful candidate will support a wide range of clients on varied and interesting projects related to the energy industry. They will also interface with the wider Genesis organisation through interactions with other discipline teams and a range of clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with preparation & checking of Engineering deliverables
  • Contributing to Basis for Design and Project Specifications
  • Assisting in performing Engineering Studies
  • Running standard industry software (e.g., Hysys) and proprietary in-house software
  • Performing engineering calculations (producing engineering documents, P&IDs, data sheets)
  • Producing technical notes for reporting study results

About You

We'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
  • Professional engineering experience, ideally in the energy industry
  • Enjoy a mixture of tightly woven teams and working with relative independence
  • Be well-motivated and able to work to deadlines
  • Have a desire to develop new skills and experience
  • Software experience (e.g., Hysys/Unisim Steady State & Dynamics, Aspen Plus, Cost Estimating, Pipesim) or in-house developed software (e.g., ADEPT, GEM)
