Job Summary:

This role involves enhancing the operational capability of police vehicles through the design, fabrication, and fitment of ancillary components and equipment.

Main Duties:
  • Prepare and interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure compliance with Australian Design Rules (ADRs).
  • Design and fabricate components for police vehicles in accordance with relevant legislation, Australian Design Rules, Australian Standards, and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Refurbish parts and accessories, and other associated equipment, in preparation for installation in new vehicles.
  • Undertake the fitting and removal of ancillary and operational equipment for specialist motor vehicles.
Essential Requirements:

This role requires possession of a current Queensland driver's license Class C or equivalent license.

A trade certificate as a Tradesperson (Fabricator) is highly regarded. Alternatively, qualifications, skills, and knowledge deemed equivalent, along with experience in fitting, welding, fabrication, and/or automotive trades environment, will be considered.

The successful applicant will work a 9-day fortnight working pattern and will be provided with uniforms.
