About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at InfraBuild Wire in Newcastle. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify equipment issues
  • Overhaul and repair fixed plant and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with quality and safety processes

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Mechanical Trade is essential
  • Leading hand or team leader experience is highly advantageous
  • Dogging and Forklift ticket desirable
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ideal background in industrial manufacturing
  • Experience in gearbox and workshop rebuilds highly regarded
