About the Position

AWX Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in the construction of portable homes. As a key member of our crew, you will play a crucial role in the finishing stages of construction.

Job Description

This position involves a variety of tasks including:

  • Door Framing and Architraves: Completing the installation and finishing of door frames and decorative architraves to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our homes.
  • House Skirting: Installing skirting boards to provide a functional and attractive finish.
  • Cutting and Folding Flashing: Accurately cutting and folding flashing to ensure proper sealing and protection against the elements.
  • Vinyl Flooring Installation: Laying vinyl flooring to provide durable and attractive surfaces within the homes.
  • Framework Assembly: Assembling frameworks according to detailed plans and specifications.
  • Plan Interpretation: Reading and interpreting construction plans to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
  • Flat-Pack Kitchen Assembly: Assembling and installing flat-pack kitchen units to complete functional living spaces.
Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard, meeting deadlines and working effectively as part of a team.

What You'll Need
  • Relevant experience in carpentry or construction is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and plans.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • A reliable car and valid driver's license.
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Salary and Benefits

This is a full-time position with competitive hourly wage $38-$40 based on skills and experience, plus penalties where applicable and superannuation.
