Civmec is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator and Quantity Surveyor to support the successful delivery of new projects. The successful candidate will join our project team and contribute to the effective management of commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and review contract templates in accordance with project contract documentation
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure contractual obligations are met and contract templates are accurate
  • Communicate with clients and relevant parties regarding notices of delay, extensions of time, subcontracts, and supplier agreements
  • Support the Project Manager in preparing and submitting relevant notices within designated timeframes
  • Maintain records of notices of delay and extensions of time
  • Notify clients of any issues, special circumstances, or breaches of contract
  • Liaise with subcontractors to ensure all relevant insurances are current and compliant
  • Prepare contracts for suppliers and subcontractors highlighting relevant project-specific issues
  • Update and maintain contract registers, including payment conditions
  • Perform other general duties as required to support operational needs
  • Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
  • Present accurate and organized documentation, correspondence, and records as requested
  • Provide timely and accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required

About the Ideal Candidate

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience within the construction industry is essential
  • Possess strong, clear, and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Have a solid understanding of commercial management and project controls
