About the Role

TLC Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Early Learning Centre in Mordialloc. As a Room Leader, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged six weeks to six years.

Our centre is part of a unique multi-generational healthcare precinct, where children and aged care residents interact and learn from each other. This innovative program allows for a rich and diverse learning environment, where children can develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and care for children in the centre, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Contribute to program planning and implementation, ensuring a curriculum that meets the needs of all children.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including families, staff, and community partners.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice in early childhood education.
  • Passion for a multi-generational care model and commitment to delivering high-quality care.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a harmonious team environment, promoting collaboration and respect among staff.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Understanding of the Child Safe Standards and commitment to upholding these principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and staff.
