Job Description

The role of Principal House Officer in our Medicine Department is a pivotal position that requires strong clinical knowledge and expertise in medicine.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing holistic care to patients admitted under the Department of Medicine, working closely with staff specialists and participating in daily consultant-led ward rounds.

You will conduct comprehensive clinical assessments of patients in the emergency department, medical wards, and outpatient setting, arranging and initiating clinical investigations and discharge planning as directed by the supervising consultant.

In addition, you will participate in General Medicine or subspecialty outpatient clinics, ensuring comprehensive, accurate, and concise medical records are maintained for all patients.

Other responsibilities include participating in out-of-hours roster, including nights and weekends, and engaging in teaching, quality improvement, and professional development activities.
