We are seeking an experienced Associate to join our Corporate and Commercial team in Brisbane. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and ambitious professional to work with our highly regarded team, contributing to the success of our clients.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in corporate law, with a strong focus on taxation. They will be responsible for providing strategic tax advice to clients across a range of matters, drafting and advising on complex trust structures, and supervising junior lawyers.
About the Role- Provide strategic tax advice to clients across income tax, GST, land tax, payroll tax, and stamp duty matters;
- Draft and advise on complex trust structures, trust deeds, and wills & estates matters;
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, contributing to team capability and growth;
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of post-admission experience;
- Income tax and/or state tax experience (or a desire to grow in these areas);
- Strategic and critical thinking capability;
- A vested interest in tax and structuring, underpinned by a strong commercial mindset;
- Broad legal experience beyond tax, such as M&A, property, commercial transactions, or tax litigation and a desire to apply that knowledge in a specialized context;
